Bathed in the serene silence of the Karoo, this reed-roofed cottage sleeps eight in four bedrooms, making it ideal for a family getaway. It sits within the Sneeuberg Nature Reserve, which is 40 kilometers away from the nearest town, so good luck to anyone seeking to disrupt your solitude. Despite the remote location, wi-fi is available (though no TV), and there is two-way radio communication.
Cosy cred The living area has a large fireplace and wood-burning stove, and there’s a dover stove in the kitchen. The interiors lend the cottage a rustic charm, while the outdoor area, with its large terrace, braai area and ample seating, is perfect for sitting and gazing out upon the famous Karoo night sky.
Good to know Pets are allowed (except for hunting dogs).

With only two bedrooms, the space is romantic and intimate, with easy access to the peaceful seaside village of Scarborough.

This farm has cultivated some of the best fruit in the land for six generations, and it’s clear little has changed since its founding in the 1800s. Quiet Karoo nights give guests a taste of life on the frontier during the 19th century.

Hi Doreen. Fossil Hills, Petersfield Farm, Tierhoek Cottages and The Riverstone House all offer pet-friendly accommodation. Kliphuis allows pets, except for hunting dogs. We hope this helps.

Had my weeding at Elandskoof Farm cottages on the 8th of March 2017 and both my wife and guest’s where treated appallingly by the management of the farm . All because it seems we had bought a diverse bunch of people for the function .These people need to get into the 21st century . So watch out if you are not the kind of customer they prefer to cater for.
