Setting Off the beaten track, at the foot of the Waaihoek Mountains, Bosjes is a breathtaking Breede Valley hideaway of exceptional views, magical gardens and awe-inspiring architecture. A place you can breathe deeply… The 1790 manor has been converted into a boutique guest lodge. Designer Liam Mooney was inspired by the setting and Cape Dutch architecture, retaining many historical features (such as the beautifully carved front door and yellowwood ceilings), adding contemporary, local touches that subtly echo its heritage. Bosjes is a natural retreat of peace and tranquillity, from the award-winning landscaped gardens to the wilder mountain paths.
Spa credentials The Stalle spa, in what used to be the farm’s old stables is a fluid, curvaceous, flowy space with six treatment rooms; a hot spa area (sauna and steam rasul chamber with a rain shower); a mani-pedi studio; relaxation lounge; a courtyard sundeck with hydrotherapy pool and loungers from which to take in the views of the gardens and mountains beyond; plus an aroma-lawn planted with chamomile and thyme for barefoot strolls. The choice of treatments ranges from body and beauty to a couples’ experience; TheraVine, QMS and African-inspired TheraNaka products are used.
